Well, 2020 certainly took us all by surprise didn’t it? At the time of writing, it’s just over 12 months since we first went into lockdown and we certainly didn’t envisage that we would still be in a similar position to where we were back then. Thankfully however, it would seem as though there is light at the end of the tunnel now, and with each passing week, it feels like we are slowly moving back towards some sort of normality.
As a business, the last 12 months have been our most challenging to date. The retail sector has been one of the hardest hit and it seems like every day there has been a new hurdle to climb. The pandemic has affected absolutely everyone in some way and we’re certainly no exception. It feels like at times our whole supply chain had ground to a halt, with factories being closed due to lockdown or working with skeleton staff, delivery companies struggling to cope with the increased demand in online shopping, and a general feeling of being completely helpless whilst stuck in the middle of it all waiting for things to start moving again.
It’s easy to lose motivation during these times, but we’ve turned to the one thing that always helps pull us through - creativity. As a brand, it’s always our intention challenge peoples perceptions and produce something unexpected - something that epitomises our graphic style and sets us apart as a driving creative force within the angling industry. Although it may sound odd to say - in some ways, the lockdown has helped us. It’s given us that period of quiet where the world around us has stood still and allowed our minds to see clearly and helped us create, and we’ve done just that. We’ve developed a range of new graphic pieces and worked closely with our factories to bring them to life on new colourways and fabrics in a brand new range for Spring ’21 and beyond, culminating in a range that we’re incredibly proud of. We’ve not stopped there either as we’ve already began work on our ranges for Autumn/Winter, but you’ll have to wait a little longer to see that.

As we begin to move out of lockdown (hopefully for the last time) we’re looking forward to getting our feet firmly back on the pedal and continue to push the brand into new and exciting directions. Our list of retailers continues to grow, which means you can now find us in more places than ever before so despite its bumpy start, 2021 is shaping up to be a very exciting year indeed and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
