KUMU were recently commissioned to develop brand identity for the Women’s Carp Fishing World Championships.

KUMU founder; Stephen May states:

We were thrilled to be asked to develop the branding for such a prestigious event, which is for the first time, to be held on our home soil in 2022. We drew inspiration from historic Fifa World Cup logos; wanting to reference this iconic silhouette, with the inclusion of a subtle nod to angling within the design.

The branding for the event is as important as some of the other key elements and there was only one company in the industry we wanted to work with on this and that was KUMU.

As well as creating the branding, KUMU will also be the driving force behind the various collateral surrounding the event, including the design and production of the England Ladies team kit. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our ladies the best of luck in this years event and hope that we can bring home the gold.

Bev Clifford, head of Carp Team England commented:

When we won our bid to host the World Championships we know straight away that we wanted to show the world why England is the home of carp fishing. This means making the event the best we can an ensuring it stand out not just in the angling world but also in the world of sport.

To help make this happen we know that the branding for the event is as important as some of the other key elements and we knew that there was only one company in the industry we wanted to work with on this and that was KUMU.

Backed by the Angling Trust and with sponsorship from the Air Group, the event will take place from the 31st August - 3rd September and be hosted at Linear Fisheries, Oxford.
